Identity theft crimes are not new, but they have become more persuasive in the past decade. One of the most insidious forms of white-collar crime, identity theft is a federal offense under the Identity Theft and Assumption Deterrence Act. It occurs when someone deliberately assumes an individual’s personal identity to impersonate that person in a legal sense. Stealing someone’s identity enables the thief to make a frightening number of financial and personal transactions in someone else’s name, leaving the victim responsible for what might turn out to be a mind-boggling turmoil in his or her life.

Someone once said, “The devil is in the details, and the truth lies somewhere in between”. Details such as your name, age, sex, physical description, mailing address, Social Security, and driver license number are everything a swindler needs to create your shadow identity, enabling him to buy merchandise, take loans and make other financial transactions, while you get stuck with the bad credit. The old X-Files motto “Trust No One” is especially meaningful for identity theft protection on the web. You must learn to depend on yourself for identity theft protection and minimize your risk by performing the following tasks:

a) Memorize your passwords. This is the most basic requirement for identity theft protection. Never write down personal identification numbers (PINs) or passwords. Do not use your Social Security number or any such easy-to-guess combinations. Avoid using the same password for different accounts.

b) Effective identity theft protection is now a necessary part of doing business on the web. Therefore, when ordering online, it is preferable to use PayPal, instead of credit or debit cards, because of the propinquity with which these cards give an imposter access to the cash in your bank account.

c) Another good practice for identity theft protection delineates that before purchasing online make sure that the site has a secure server. Secure pages begin with https instead of http, with a picture of a lock appearing in the lower right status bar. To verify the name of the server that appears on the digital certificate, double-click the lock icon, and then check the name that appears next to “Issued to”, if the name appearing next to “Issued to” is different from the name of the site that you thought provides the page, close the browser to leave the site.

d) Be sure to shred all documents that have important information on them such as account numbers, social security numbers, etc. Do not simply discard this information into the trash.

Keith Londrie II is a well known author.

A lot of trainers have aspirations to become professional speakers and are often misled into thinking that because both activities involve speaking to a group of people they are all basically the same activity. The truth is that there are probably more differences than similarities between training and speaking.

The most obvious difference of course is with numbers. Trainers tend to deal with smaller numbers from one to one to perhaps fifty. There are exceptions, but most training courses deal with small groups of people. Speakers tend to work with larger groups. Again there are exceptions but audiences from fifty to thousands are more common.

Another apparent similarity is that both training and speaking are concerned with changing behaviour, but again each discipline approaches this in a very different way.

A trainer usually works to a Training Gap. There is a gap between a person’s actual and desired performance and the goal of the trainer is help the individual to correct that gap. That skill development may involve some significant changes in habits, knowledge and attitude. The trainer breaks the process into a number of simple steps ? then they Show and Tell, Observe and Correct, Motivate and Supervise, until the new skill is mastered.

A speaker has a different challenge. The audience are not usually there because a specific training gap has been identified. The speaker is selected because there is a belief that learning about a specific topic will be of interest and benefit to members to the audience. Once the speech is over it is the responsibility of each member of the audience to decide if they want to change behaviour.

Now here is the problem with that. We learn skills that help us to survive and prosper and ?if it ain?t broke we don?t fix it.? No one sets aside the old way to seek the new until they personally feel the need to do so. The audience is only going to take action if the speaker has motivated them to do so. If they want someone to change their behaviour they have got to give them a reason so powerful that it gets them in motion ? motivates them.

More importantly trying to motive someone to make two changes in behaviour is massively more difficult than to make one… and three changes, almost impossible. We can really only work on one change at a time. All the great keynote speeches I have remembered had one powerful memorable message that was repeated over and over again until I could not forget it. Compelling stories were told to inspire and motivate me to take action ? facts and figures were converted into memorable image, jokes or metaphors.

The key to success as Professional Speaker is to ?Specialise?. Speakers focus on a very small area of change and become the expert in that. And the more successful they become the more they specialise. A trainer on the other hand is often responsible for a wide area of skill development ? in fact all the skills needed in an organizations. Sales, marketing, customer care, leadership, computer skills, presentation skills, interviewing, management, supervision, etc.

Because of this need to train on almost anything, most trainers rarely use original material. Trainers pick up ideas from other speakers and trainers and import them into their courses. Using other speakers’ material without a license is against the code of conduct in speakers associations around the world, but I doubt there is a speaker or trainer alive who has not at one stage in their careers, used material they picked up from another presenter and because trainers tend to work with a finite audience of staff in their organisation, it tends not to be noticed.

On the other hand a speaker really must find original material. This is not just because it is unethical to use other speaker’s material; it is because the meeting planners demand originality. It is the unique material that makes a speaker special. Consider this ? if you speak at an event on the same topic as an earlier speaker, will the audience be entertained or bored by your speech.

A professional speaker is an “expert who speaks for a living”. If you have aspirations to be a speaker, ask yourself ? “What am I really an expert in?” If you are not yet an expert, then what do you want to be an expert in. What would it take to make you an expert? Start doing it now. Reading for half an hour a day on your chosen topic for 5 years will make you an acknowledged expert. Learn to read five times faster than average and you can do it in one year.

By becoming an expert in a field, you begin to have your own story to tell. You find what motivates people and why they resist. You develop a library of stories, jokes, anecdotes, visual images, games, interactive exercises related to your field of expertise. You learn to take material from another area and change and adapt it so that it becomes original material in yours.

I don?t think it?s possible to develop truly great material unless you are really focused and to be a successful speaker you need truly great material. It takes time to develop, but it?s worth it because it will give you a good living for years to come.

Yes, you can certainly get a credit card for people with bad credit. What does bad credit imply and why do companies restrict their credit cards only to people with good credit? Bad credit implies greater risk for the credit card companies and it is for the same reason many companies restrict their card to only those with good credit score.

There are many credit card companies waiting out there to exploit this situation, as they find hard to compete. There are companies try to make more profit by extending their credit cards to people with bad credit. As one can expect people with bad credit have lesser options and hence do not mind the cost involved until they set right their credit history.

Credit card for people with bad credit very often has greater annual subscription fees. They have greater APR percentage. These credit cards do not come with as many offers as you would find with the credit cards for good credit.

Though you have lesser number of options with bad credit score, you have to remember that you do have options. When you have more than one option, it is always good to compare the options at hand. Check out all possible credit card schemes that allow you to apply with bad credit. One of the important aspects to be remembered while hunting for your credit card is to check how you can use the new card you get to improve your credit score and how you can get your good credit, credit card. To make sure that your credit history is reported properly, you need to find credit card companies that will report to the three agencies that maintain credit reports.

If the credit card companies report regularly and if you pay your bills regularly you will start getting offers for credit cards for good credit.

Incase, you should still find it difficult to get your unsecured credit card approved; try to apply for a secured credit card. You can even consider the option of prepaid credit cards. The whole idea is that you try to establish a good credit history with whatever limited options you have and don?t wait for too long.

Once you get your credit card, you need to be all the more responsible to use it properly. Read all the terms and conditions carefully and try to abide by those as closely as possible. Plan your credit card usage carefully so that all your efforts to build a good credit score do not go in vain.

If you have been online for a while, one of the most well know ways of selling online is to build an optin email list or ezine. So now there are thousands of email ezines on just about every possible topic.

Hey- it is a proven tool, so you should use it however some ezine owners have a mental break down when they get some subscribers, its like AHA! Now I have your email address, I am going to sell you every affiliate program I can find.

Don?t get me wrong ezines take a lot of time and effort to put together and its natural for the owner to make a few bucks for his effort. At the same time they should not try to rape your pocket at every chance.

This defeats the main purpose of the email list : to build trust. Lets put it this way, if every week I said “X” tool was the best, and every week a new tool or special, then it would not take look for the subscribers to work out- this guy is suggesting every tool that makes a buck- lose of creabilty in minutes is the result.

So let?s set some rules for the list owner:

You own it – before you recommend something you should already own it, otherwise its like trying to tell somebody about a movie by looking at the posters out side.

Write a review – What did you like about the product/tool or service, but also what could be improved. What progress did you make from it? At the same time if you are still testing, say that too.

Be honest ? No product is perfect, is there something that could be added. In some cases maybe you created a spreadsheet or some kind of form to help the product work better- offer this as a special bonus, if someone orders- just get them to forward the receipt of purchase to you and you will send the helpful form.

Be focused- Joining 100 affiliate programs will not help- focus on a few good ones and then repeat them at different times in your ezine- let your subscribers know that they are good tools, and they will thank you for it

Take a stand ? I have to give credit to the publisher, Jim Edwards for this one- If you have tried something and it didn?t work let your subscriber know, together with why you think it didn?t work- try to keep it very factual with numbers.

Stay in for the long haul ? Take time out to work out that things take time, and marketing online is no different. It can be very low cost compared to a business online but it takes time and effort to work.

Ask and accept feedback- Using email is very efficient for this, but at the same time you need to offer reason, a gift of some sort in exchange for feedback-everybody is short of time. Let your subscribers tell you what they need.

Balance – If you always offer freebies, and then decide to sell something, your subscribers may not be very responsive.

I guess the short end of it is mutual respect between the subscribers and the ezine owner. The subscriber has trusted you with his email information, you as the list owner needs to respect this information.

Chronic bronchitis is a very common respiratory illness. Around 12 million people in the United States are diagnosed with chronic bronchitis each year. Chronic bronchitis is considered to be the most common illness among the chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases. Chronic bronchitis has a high incidence in smokers and people with respiratory conditions like asthma or sinusitis are also very exposed to developing chronic bronchitis in time. In some cases, patients with complicated acute bronchitis can develop chronic bronchitis too.

Bronchitis causes inflammation and sometimes viral or bacterial infection of the mucous membrane, bronchial tubes and other organs and tissues involved in the process of breathing. The respiratory system has many natural defenses (nostril hairs, cilia, mucus) against external irritants (airborne viruses, dust particles, chemicals, pollen). However, constant exposure to these external agents can sometimes enable airborne viruses to penetrate the natural barriers of the respiratory tract, causing inflammation and infection. When external irritants reach inside the lungs, there is a high risk of complication (pneumonia). When the bronchial tubes become inflamed and irritated, they produce a surplus of mucus which clogs the airways and prevents the normal airflow.

Chronic bronchitis is a persistent respiratory illness and it also has a recidivating character. The symptoms of chronic bronchitis are usually not intense, but they reoccur on a regular time basis. While acute bronchitis usually clears on itself within a few days, chronic bronchitis can last for months. Chronic bronchitis is an infectious disease and needs ongoing medical treatment with antibiotics. If the medical treatment is prematurely interrupted, the illness reoccurs and can lead to complications.

Chronic bronchitis is very common in smokers and people with weak immune system. Inappropriate diet, lack of sleep, stress and exposure to chemicals and pollutants all contribute to the development of chronic bronchitis. Smoking facilitates the development of chronic bronchitis by sustaining the proliferation of bacteria and by slowing the normal process of healing. Smoking can cause serious, permanent damage to the respiratory system.

People with chronic bronchitis need long-term medical treatment in order to completely overcome the illness. Antibiotics are the most common form of medicines prescribed in the treatment for chronic bronchitis and despite their efficiency in fighting malign bacteria responsible for causing chronic bronchitis, they also destroy internal benign bacteria that are part of the immune system. Such medical treatments with antibiotics can weaken the organism in time, making it more vulnerable to other infections. Chronic bronchitis medical treatments also include medicines for decongesting the airways clogged with mucus. Bronchodilators such as albuterol and ipratropium are inhaled medicines that eliminate excess mucus that causes obstruction of the respiratory tract and difficulty breathing. Chronic bronchitis treatments can also include steroids in order to strengthen the body defenses against bacteria and viruses.

Most people I know don’t want to die. Given the choice they would rather have a solution to their terminal illness than to give up on life.

Yes, I know that there are those have come to the point where they have “accepted” death as inevitable. By this I mean that they know it is coming and that they feel nothing can be done about it. This does not mean that this however is their preference.

Many people with terminal illnesses are shunted off to palliative care units when their physicians have little more to offer them. Interestingly at this point everyone, including the family, has given up on the patient, so to speak. It becomes a matter of keeping the patient comfortable until death arrives.

I would like to suggest that even at this stage, and certainly earlier, that a great deal more can be done to help give the family and the person hope for a healing cure. Once the family has given up its as if the life line for that individual is finally cut. This most often occurs when the physician prescribes the “palliative” strategy. The mind set of many traditional physicians is often very limited when it comes to considering effective alternative healing solutions so please don’t let yourselves be hoodwinked by them!

It is known for instance that experiments have been done that reveal the effect of intercessory group prayer on the health of the patient. What is happening here? Well one can speculate that a form of energetic distance healing is occurring in which healing energy is supporting the individual.

In recent case studies I have done (see “Some Evidence on How We Are Spiritually Connected”) with a new modality called the Mind Resonance Process(TM) (MRP) I have been able to show that distance healing of emotional trauma can be demonstrated in a definitive and predictable fashion.

With MRP it is possible to heal distant friends and relatives of emotionally based trauma without them even being aware it is happening. This is possible because we share among ourselves common historical information that ties us and our spiritual destiny together. Unfortunately this destiny is not always a desirable one.

With MRP individuals can effectively alter the destiny of the individuals in the group by releasing the common trauma that they share. This can be accomplished with a well defined algorithm that produces dramatic and instantaneous results for all involved.

How can this be adapted to the case of terminally ill individuals?

Well it is my view that all illnesses are supported i.e. effectively caused, by the historical information that we have stored in our consciousness, our minds & bodies and deep in our DNA. All of this historical information can be permanently released with MRP. By doing so the physical manifestations of such information will effectively cease to be present in that person’s body.

For an example of this please see my article “Reversing Macular Degeneration Without Drugs or Surgery”.

Now back to palliative care. The “mind set” in palliative care units is that all hope has been exhausted and that the individuals sent there are almost certainly going to die. This mindset is in no way helpful to the patient. For this reason I consider such units to be toxic to anyone who wishes to go on living.

From an energy field standpoint (see my other articles on MRP and Energy Fields) this palliative mind set only serves to drain whatever little energy the individual still has for life i.e. it sucks the life out of them.

In this light palliative care units are in my view like “death factories”. Yes, I know that the individuals working there are well intentioned i.e. they ?care? about the comfort of the individuals in their care. Unfortunately however they, through their beliefs that these same individuals are going to die are doing them more harm than good without even realizing it.

To really help individuals before they even get to this point I strongly suggest that family members come together and arrange a series of group healing sessions employing MRP. This course will not only support the key individual in health it will also go a long way in supporting all other members of the family.

Carbohydrates are made of sugars either alone or in combinations (starches) and before they can be absorbed, they must be broken down into single sugars. Vegetables, beans, nuts, cereals and other foods contain starches and sugars that should be absorbed in the upper intestinal tract. However, some of the carbohydrates cannot be broken down. If they are not absorbed in the intestines, they pass to the colon where bacteria ferment the carbohydrates to release gas.

Half of the world’s population develops gas and cramping after drinking milk because they lack the intestinal enzyme that is necessary to break down the double sugar in milk called lactose. If lactose is not absorbed in the upper intestinal tract, bacteria ferment it in the colon to release gas. If you are lactose intolerant, you can avoid dairy products, but no one should avoid vegetables, beans and whole grains.

If you are bothered by gas when you eat beans, whole grains or vegetables, you may not have an adequate colony of friendly bacteria in your colon to break down the resistant starches in plants. If you have recently changed your diet to include more of these foods, give yourself a few weeks or even months to build up the bacteria you need to digest them without excessive gas. Recent research shows that normal intestinal bacteria make up approximatly 95 percent of the total number of cells in the human body. The good bacteria help to prevent bad bacteria from infecting you, and may help to prevent intestinal diseases such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease or cancer.

If you have waited a reasonable time and are still bothered by excessive gas, check with your doctor. One study showed that Rifaximin, an antibiotic that cannot be absorbed from the intestines, can control many cases of excessive intestinal gas. However, this antibiotic is not available in North America; ask your doctor about using metronidazole instead.

A high intake of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which is a kind of fat found naturally in cow’s milk, significantly lowers risk of bowel cancer, according to a new study.

60,000 Women Over 15 Years

Middle-aged women who reported having the highest intake of CLA during the late ’80s were about 30 percent less likely to have developed bowel cancer within the following 15 years. Data from over 60,000 women were analyzed.

Even further, those who ate at least four servings of high-fat dairy foods each day had a 41 percent lower risk of bowel cancer than those who ate less than one. Each increment of two servings of dairy products equaled a 13 percent reduction in a woman’s colon cancer risk.

Increases Some Risks, Decreases Others

Milk-based products have been linked to increased risk of other cancers, such as breast cancer and prostate cancer, but both milk and calcium have been associated with a lower bowel cancer risk in several previous studies.

Current research has usually focused on calcium as the potential mechanism for this. Few if any other studies have evaluated the role of CLA.

Bowel cancer is the third most common form of the disease worldwide.

American Journal of Clinical Nutrition October 2005; 82(4): 894-900 Food Navigator USA.com October 10, 2005

Dr. Mercola’s Comment:You may recall that cancer, NOT heart disease, is now America’s top killer. In my book, any natural strategy that cuts your risk of the top killer by half is worth looking into more seriously.

CLA is one such potent cancer-fighter, for as little as 0.5 percent in your daily diet could reduceyour risk of colon cancerby more than 50 percent.

CLA is primarily in dairy products produced from cows that were not fed grain. Much of the animals’ ability to produce CLA is shut down the moment they start eating foods they were not designed to eat like grains.

If you are eating commercial beef you can rest assured that the last three months of that steer’s life it was fed grain in a feedlot prior to slaughter. This is unfortunate as their CLA production is virtually shut off.Grass-fed cattle typically have 500 percentmore CLA than commercial grain-fed beef.

Of the various types of dairy foods assessed in this study the strongest protection for cancer was seen with cheese. That is great news as that is probably the easiest way to obtain grass-fed raw milk. There are far less restrictions on its sale and it is widely available in every state.

It is important to undestand that the pasteurization processcan actually change the three dimensionalstructure of the fragile milk proteins (especially casein) and convert them into proteins your body was never designed to handle. This frequently results in health complications.

Pasteurized milk is inferior to raw milk in a number of importantways as it:

Increasestooth decay

Has a lower calcium content

Has a lower A, B, and C vitamin content

Dramatically increases allergic reactions and effects on your health

If you are concerned about potential health risks from drinking raw milk I suggest you review my article on why raw milk is becoming more popular. If you are unable to find a local dairy farmer in your area who sells raw milk, I encourage you to visit the Real Milk Web site to locate a source close to you.

If you are interested in lowering your risk of colon cancer and you are unable to easily secure raw milk, I would encourage you to seek grass-fed, organic, raw milk cheese in your local health food store. BUT please make sure it is grass-fed.

Eating the right foods is integral to losing fat, but many overlook the reality that what you drink plays an important role as well. We all have preferences when it comes to drinks. Some prefer alcohol, some detest water, and some believe that the only thing that keeps them going is cup after cup of coffee. However, there are consequences, both good and bad, depending on what you typically drink. Let?s start with the most important drink, water. As early as 2003, reports were beginning to surface about how water actually elevates the metabolic rate, therefore aiding in weight loss. This study conducted at Berlin?s Franz-Volhard Clinical Research Center studied the caloric intake and energy expenditures of seven men and seven women who were not overweight. After the test subjects each drank a little over 2 glasses of water, their metabolic rates increased by as much as 30% for both men and women. The increases occurred within 10 minutes of ingestion and reached a maximum after about 30 to 40 minutes. Researchers found that if a person increases their water intake by 1.5 liters a day without altering anything else, they would still burn an extra 17,400 calories by the end of the year. That is unbelievable. Furthermore, it?s also well known that water is satiating in that it helps curb hunger pangs, therefore preventing you from overeating. Obviously, water is vital for survival, but now we know that it helps to burn more calories giving us another reason as to why it?s necessary for fat loss.

Dairy and Weight Loss

Another study came out in 2003 that may be difficult to imagine being true, but research has arrived at the conclusion that low-fat dairy products are a wonderful means in aiding with fat loss. According to the American Society for Nutritional Sciences Journal of Nutrition, women who consumed milk, yogurt, and cheese three to four times a day lost 70% more body fat than women who didn?t eat dairy. Supposedly, the reason is that calcium actually helps to boost the metabolic rate. Oddly enough, other foods fortified with calcium won?t have the same weight loss effect as the dairy products. Women reap the largest benefit when they consume three servings of dairy a day and 1,200 milligrams of calcium a day. So, make sure you pick up some milk, but keep it low in fat for the best results.

Drinking Alcohol

Lastly, I believe it goes without saying that alcohol needs to be used in moderation and, in my opinion, not at all if fat loss is truly your goal. First off, alcohol actually hinders the mobilization of fat and since the fat can?t be utilized to produce energy, glucose (carbohydrates) is then used to provide energy for the body. In turn, the elevated glucose levels lead to a rush of insulin to the blood in order to cart away the glucose to the brain, muscles, and elsewhere. However, insulin doesn?t know when to stop with the carting away of the glucose and ends up lowering your blood sugar in the process so that you feel sluggish and weak. Imagine yourself crashing after a sugar high. Consequently, the appetite is triggered and more, unnecessary calories are consumed. To make a long story short, alcohol completely disrupts your metabolism and can even noticeably slow it down up to nearly two days following the alcohol ingestion. Be smart about what you drink. If you choose right, you might just find a body under there that?s worth keeping forever.
